The Stats

1 in 4 women have been raped or sexually assaulted as an adult

1 in 6 children have been sexually abused

1 in 20 men have been raped or sexual assaulted as an adult

These numbers are too high for us to ignore the problem. We need to invest in better support for survivors of sexual assault and rape, change our approach to prevention, and be active in challenging norms and institutions that enable sexual violence.

Rape crisis provide specialist information and support to people affected by rape, sexual assault, harassment and all forms of sexual violence in England and Wales.

With 39 Rape Crisis centers, they educate, support, and make change. Read more about their work here.
